# Qpilot AI AutoFill: Generate Test Datasets | Pcloudy Docs

Last updated on : 29 Oct 2026

## Overview

AI Autofll - A tool that automatically types out a realistic sample table for you once, so you don't have to build it by hand.

### What it is?

An authoring-time test data generator that creates and edits realistic, structured sample tables (up to 10 rows and 50 columns) directly in, based on your column names and prompt. Once saved, the values stay fixed and repeat every time a test runs; nothing new is generated at run time.

### What you can do

* Create datasets: Generate sample tables with AI from column names and an optional prompt, or upload/import a CSV file directly.
* Edit rows and cells: Double-click any cell to edit inline. Tick rows to regenerate them with AI. Delete selected rows, or append new rows up to the limit.
* Manage columns: Add new columns and populate them with "Fill with AI", rename columns, or remove them.
* Import into existing datasets: Use "Import from CSV / JSON" inside a dataset to append rows or replace the whole table.
* Discard changes: Revert all unsaved edits to the last saved state with one click.
* Add descriptions: Add or edit an optional description of up to 500 characters, with a live counter. In the list view it is truncated, with the full text on hover.
* Track collection usage: The "Used In" column in the dataset list shows which collections rely on each dataset.

10. You can go ahead and edit the dataset, by clicking on the edit button against the respective Dataset.
11. Once you edit a Dataset, you can even Import from CSV / JSON files.

### Collections and execution

When a dataset is attached to a test case or collection, each row runs as an individual data set. Pick the dataset from the Datasets dropdown on the test in the collection, and use View to check its contents.
