Downloading Crash Logs
Overview
Downloading crash logs allows testers to capture detailed information about app crashes directly from real devices. These logs provide insights into stack traces, system errors, and runtime conditions that caused the failure. By analyzing crash logs, teams can quickly identify root causes, reproduce issues, and accelerate bug fixes with greater confidence.
Prerequisites
- User must be registered Pcloudy account
Steps
- Login to the Pcloudy platform.
- Click on Real Devices under the Functional Experience tab in the Left Panel of the Pcloudy platform.
- In the application section, select iOS and click Upload.
- Select the application you would like to Upload and Click Open.
- Once the application is uploaded, it will be reflected in the All Apps section.
- Click on the three dots corresponding to the application and click on Resign-Functional.
- Once the resigning process is complete. The application will be placed in the same file.
- Simply select the resigned app, the device to test on and select Start Testing.
- This will automatically install the resigned application on the device.
- When the app crashes, the Crash Logs button will be activated.
- You can simply click on Crash Logs, Select the application, and the crash logs for the corresponding app will be downloaded.
- The use can view these logs for further analysis and resolution.
