Release Note 8.0
Overview
Pcloudy 8.0 focuses on strengthening trust, usability, and performance across test automation and platform experience. This release introduces smarter recovery mechanisms in QPilot, a redesigned documentation experience for faster knowledge access, and extended support for Appium 3.0 to power modern, secure, and high-performance automation at scale.
Now respond faster to failures, reduce automation maintenance effort, and adopt a future-ready automation stack while navigating the platform with greater clarity and confidence.
QPilot Automation Resilience with Manual Interaction for Failed Test Steps

Pcloudy 8.0 introduces Manual Interaction in QPilot, allowing users to recover failed automation steps without rewriting or restarting tests. When a test step fails, the Record Manually option becomes available, enabling testers to manually complete the failed action. The manually recorded step is automatically added back into the test flow along with the generated xpath, ensuring continuity in automation while preserving execution context. This enhancement bridges the gap between manual intervention and automated recovery, making test suites more adaptable to real-world application behavior.
Key Benefits
- Instant failure recovery
- Minimal rework required
- Accurate xpath generation
- Real world resilience
The Pcloudy Documentation Gets a New Look

The documentation experience on Pcloudy has been completely redesigned to improve accessibility and usability. Documentation is now clearly organized into dedicated sections for Mobile Testing, Web Testing, and Automation, reducing clutter and improving discoverability. The new structure helps users quickly locate relevant guides, setup instructions, and reference material, whether they are onboarding for the first time or troubleshooting advanced scenarios.
Key Benefits
- Faster information discovery
- Cleaner navigation structure
- Improved onboarding experience
- Reduced setup friction
Extended Appium 3.0 Support (On Demand)

Pcloudy 8.0 extends support for Appium 3.0 on select private instances, available on demand. Appium 3.0 modernizes the automation framework with a leaner architecture, improved performance, stronger security controls, and stricter W3C compliance. By removing deprecated components, enforcing modern Node.js standards, and streamlining the core server, Appium 3.0 delivers faster startup times, more efficient execution, and a more maintainable automation stack. These improvements are particularly impactful for large-scale CI/CD pipelines and parallel execution environments.
Key Benefits
- Faster test execution
- Improved security controls
- Better CI/CD scalability
- Future ready automation
