Programme structure

Five modules. Under 8 hours. Genuine depth.

From prompt fundamentals to AI-assisted test design and agentic workflows — in under eight hours. Each module goes deep, with copy-ready prompts, a knowledge check and a hands-on brief.

01

The AI-Native Engineering & QA Landscape

Understand how AI-assisted development shifts delivery speed, coverage gaps and the QA mandate. Map where LLMs fit across the test lifecycle — and where they fail.

60 minFoundational
02

Prompt Engineering for Test Generation

Learn the anatomy of a reliable test-generation prompt: role, context, constraints and output format. Turn user stories into edge-case-aware test cases you can reuse.

110 minCore
03

Context Engineering & RAG at Scale

Deep dive into context windows, chunking and embeddings for large codebases. Build RAG pipelines over requirements and defects to ground output and cut hallucinations.

75 minCore
04

Testing-Type Playbooks — Functional, Performance, Accessibility

Explore ready-made playbooks for functional, performance and accessibility testing. Each comes with prompts, thresholds and a hands-on exercise brief.

100 minCore / Hands-on
05

AI Test Generation Across the Pcloudy Suite

Run the full loop: generate tests with the Test Generation Agent, execute on real devices, analyse failures with AI and wire it into CI — one end-to-end capstone.

Outcomes

The knowledge you'll gain

Every module ends in something you can apply to your own suite the same week.

Write prompts that produce runnable testsStructure, constraints and iteration patterns that turn a vague requirement into a test that actually executes.
Feed the right context at scaleApply context engineering and retrieval so generated tests stay grounded in your real codebase and suite.
Generate across three testing typesUse per-discipline playbooks for functional, performance and accessibility testing.
Run the full lifecycle end to endGenerate, execute on real devices, analyse failures and monitor quality without leaving the workflow.
Judge when AI output is wrongSpot hallucinated selectors, false passes and brittle assertions before they reach your pipeline.
Explain the shift to your teamArticulate how AI-assisted development changes the QA mandate — useful for leads and managers making the case.

Who it's for

Who Should Take This Certification?

QA engineers, SDETs and QA leads already running Playwright, Appium or Selenium and beginning to explore AI-assisted test creation — plus the managers who need to know what AI-assisted delivery changes about QA.

QA engineers & SDETs

Writing and maintaining automation today, and ready to let AI draft, repair and extend those suites.

QA leads

Defining an AI testing strategy — what to automate, what to trust, and how to prove coverage.

Engineering managers

Adapting delivery as AI-assisted development shifts what quality gates must catch.

PrerequisitesLight on entry, deep on outcome
  • Familiarity with one automation framework — Selenium, Playwright, Appium or equivalent
  • No prior AI/ML knowledge required
  • No prompting experience needed — Module 2 builds it from first principles

FAQ

Questions about CAITE

How much does CAITE cost?

Nothing. The certification, the assessment and the credential are completely free.

When can I start?

Any time. It's fully self-paced — there are no cohorts, intakes or fixed dates.

How long does it take?

8+ hours of content across 5 modules, plus the knowledge checks and the capstone. Most people finish in two to three weeks alongside a full-time role.

Do I need AI or machine-learning experience?

No. You need familiarity with one automation framework — Selenium, Playwright, Appium or equivalent. Prompting is taught from first principles in Module 2.

What is the capstone project?

You generate, run and analyse a test suite using the techniques from the course, then submit the execution results. It's marked on that evidence rather than a written summary.

What happens if I don't pass?

You can revisit the modules and retake the exam or resubmit the project — there's no penalty and no extra cost.

Can my team take it together?

Yes. The content is delivered module by module and can be run for a whole team; get in touch if you'd like it hosted in your own LMS.
