Setting the Idle Timeout for your Browser Testing Sessions

Overview

Idle timeout for desktop browser testing in Pcloudy defines how long a browser session can stay inactive before it is automatically closed. This helps ensure desktop browser resources are used efficiently and remain available for other test runs. Automatically ending idle sessions prevents unnecessary resource locking, maintains platform performance, and improves overall testing reliability.

Steps

  1. Login to the Pcloudy platform.

  2. On the Dashboard page, Click on the Desktop Browsers Card.

  3. Now, the user will be able to access a wide range of Desktop browsers arranged in order of the respective Operating Systems, Browsers, and Browser versions.

  4. The user can choose the OS, select the Browser and the version, and Click on Start Testing.

  5. On the top bar choose the number of minutes in the Idle Timeout drop down menu.

  6. The user can change the default idle timeout of 5 mins to 10minutes or more.

  7. The user will be able to see a success notification once the Idle Timeout is updated.
