Testing Apps on Real Foldable Devices

Overview

Testing on real foldable devices ensures your mobile websites adapt smoothly across folded and fully open screen states without layout breaks or usability issues. This documentation outlines how to validate responsive behavior, track layout shifts, debug fold transitions, and test interactions across all display modes using real hardware on the Pcloudy platform. By using physical foldable devices instead of emulators, teams get true insights into viewport changes, touch accuracy, and real world performance, delivering a seamless experience across modern foldable devices.

Prerequisites

  • User must be registered Pcloudy account

Steps

  1. Login to the Pcloudy platform

  2. Select Real Devices on the Pcloudy Dashboard

  3. Select an Application to test.

  4. And for devices use the search bar to look for Foldable Devices.

  5. Once you have selected the application and device.

  6. Click on Start Testing

  7. This will automatically Install and startup the application on the device.

  8. Allow the necessary permissions to start testing.

  9. The user can now perform various testing tasks on the foldable device.
