Testing App Performance by Changing Device IP Location
Overview
Changing the device IP location allows teams to evaluate how mobile applications perform when accessed from different geographic regions. By simulating location based IP addresses on real devices, testers can assess network behavior, loading times, content delivery, and region specific performance variations without physically testing from multiple locations. This capability helps identify latency issues, CDN or server routing gaps, location based restrictions, and inconsistencies in user experience across markets, ensuring the application delivers reliable performance for users worldwide.
