Sending Text to Devices Using Keyboard Function Remotely
Overview
The Keyboard function on the Pcloudy platform enables users to seamlessly send text input directly to real devices during testing sessions. This capability helps testers interact with apps more efficiently, especially when entering long strings, form data, URLs, credentials, or repeated inputs.
Instead of typing manually on the on-screen keyboard, users can push text instantly from their system to the device, improving accuracy and reducing effort.
Prerequisites
- User must be registered Pcloudy account
Steps

Login to the Pcloudy platform

Select Real Devices on the Pcloudy Dashboard

Click on Mobile Browser on the Real Devices page

Enter the URL you would like to test, select the device and click on Start Testing

This will automatically open the URL on the device browser, allow the necessary permissions to start testing.

Click on the Keyboard tab and Enter the text that you want to send to the Mobile Device and Click Send.

The user will receive a success notification, and the text data will be transferred to the device.
