Releasing a Device After Completing Your Testing Session

Overview

Releasing a device marks the end of your testing session and makes the device available for the next user. When you release a device on the platform, it is automatically cleaned up and reset to a fresh state by clearing app data, logs, cache, and any session specific configurations applied during testing. This ensures data privacy, prevents test contamination, and guarantees a consistent baseline environment for subsequent users to connect and carry out their testing tasks efficiently.

Prerequisites

  • User must be registered Pcloudy account

Steps

  1. Login to the Pcloudy platform

  2. Select Real Devices on the Pcloudy Dashboard

  3. Click on Mobile Browser on the Real Devices page

  4. Enter the URL you would like to test and select the device in the All Devices section.

  5. Once you find the Device of your choice, simply click on Start Testing.

  7. Once the user finishes the testing tasks, the user may release the device by clicking on the Release Device button on the top right corner of the Device connection page.

  8. Click on Back to Devices to terminate the session and view the test report.

  9. This will clean up the device and reset it for other users to connect and test.
