Testing Payment Validation on ApplePay
Overview
Pcloudy provides secure real iOS devices that enable safe testing of payment methods like Apple Pay. Testers can connect to a remote device and validate end to end payment flows in real conditions, including authentication, system prompts, and transaction behavior within iOS. This helps uncover device or OS specific issues early and ensures a smooth, trusted checkout experience before release.
Prerequisites
- User must be registered Pcloudy account
All Apple devices support Apple Pay testing.
Steps

Login to the Pcloudy platform

On the Left Panel Select Real Devices under the Functional Experience Drop Down.

Select any iOS device of your choice and click on Start Testing.

Click on the Settings drop down menu on the Left Panel and Activate Device Passcode.

Once the Device Passcode is Activated, Activate the Assistive Touch as well.

On the Device Screen, Select the Wallet app.

On the Wallet app, click on the + (plus sign) to add a payment method.

Select a Payment Method of your choice and follow the prompts. In the example attached - we have chosen Debit or Credit Card

Click on Continue to allow the permissions.

Select Enter Card Details manually on the device screen.

You can use the Keyboard option on the Lef Panel to enter the card information.

Follow the device prompts to complete setting up the Payment method.

Once the card is added. Open a Safari browser on the device and open the ApplePay demo website.

Here you can validate the payment method by clicking on the ApplePay button.
