Overview

The QR code scanner feature enables users to scan the QR code on any Android/iOS devices present on the Pcloudy platform.

Note
  • This feature is supported on Android 5.0/ iOS version 11 devices and later versions.
  • Supported QR Code file formats are .png, .jpeg and .jpg.

Prerequisite

  • User should be registered on Pcloudy platform
  • An application under test which supports QR code scanning
  • A QR code file(test QR codes)

Steps for iOS QR Code Scanning

  1. Connect to any iOS device.
  2. Click on "Start" on the Logs tab to start logs.
  3. Under quick actions, click on "Install" and install the resigned QR Code app on the device.
  4. On the right panel, click on "Image Injection" and Select the QR code image that has to be scanned and click on the "Inject" button.
  5. Allow the necessary permissions on the device to access the camera function on the device screen.
  6. The App will Scan the QR code and give you the desired outcome to verify.

Steps for Android QR Code Scanning

  1. Connect to any Android device.
  2. Click on "Start" on the Logs tab to start logs.
  3. Under quick actions, click on Install and install the instrumented QR Code app on the device.
  4. Allow the necessary permissions on the device to access the camera function on the device screen.
  5. On the right panel, click on "Image Injection" and Select the QR code image that has to be scanned, and click on the "Inject" button.
  6. The App will Scan the QR code and give you the desired outcome to verify.
