Activating Offline Mode on iOS Devices

Overview

Activating the Device Passcode on iOS allows testers to validate app behavior under secure lock and unlock conditions directly on the device. Enabling it during testing helps verify authentication flows, background handling, session persistence, and access control when the device is locked or unlocked. This ensures sensitive data is protected, secure flows resume correctly, and the app delivers a reliable and compliant experience in real world security scenarios.

Prerequisites

  • User must be registered Pcloudy account

Steps

  1. Login to the Pcloudy platform
  2. Select Real Devices on the Pcloudy Dashboard
  3. Select any iOS device in the All Devices section. and simply click on Start Testing.
  4. Click on Settings on the Left Panel and Enable Device Passcode.
  5. This will enable the Device Passcode on the iOS Device.
  6. The User can disable the option by following the same steps above.

By default the Device Passcode on iOS Devices is disabled on Pcloudy devices.
