Activating Offline Mode on iOS Devices

Overview

Activating Offline Mode on iOS allows testers to simulate network loss and limited connectivity scenarios directly on the device. Enabling it during testing helps validate app behavior when internet access is unavailable, including error handling, data caching, sync recovery, and user messaging. This ensures critical flows remain usable, graceful fallbacks are in place, and the app delivers a reliable experience even in real world connectivity conditions.

Prerequisites

  • User must be registered Pcloudy account

Steps

  1. Login to the Pcloudy platform
  2. Select Real Devices on the Pcloudy Dashboard
  3. Select any iOS device in the All Devices section. and simply click on Start Testing.
  4. Click on Settings on the Left Panel and Enable Offline Mode.
  5. This will enable the Offline Mode on the iOS Device.
  6. The User can disable the option by following the same steps above.

By default the Offline Mode on iOS Devices is disabled on Pcloudy devices.
